If I have given you delightArthur C. Clarke, a visionary science fiction writer who won worldwide acclaim with more than 100 books on space, science and the future, died Wednesday in his adopted home of Sri Lanka at 1:30am local time. He was 90. Clarke had been battling debilitating post-polio syndrome since the 1960s.
By aught that I have done,
Let me lie quiet in that night
Which shall be yours anon:
And for that little, little span
The dead are borne in mind
Seek not to question other than
The books I leave behind.Rudyard Kipling,
One hopes that he has found a home in Secular Heaven. He will certainly be missed.
